Metatron 551 is dark colored, active sulfur base straight cutting oil that is recommended for the machining of ferrous metals only.
It is recommended for difficult machining operations such as threading and tapping at high speeds, broaching and for the machining of alloy steels that are difficult to machine.
SPECIAL PROPERTIES:
Metatron 551 is blended from a combination of high viscosity index severely hydro finished 100% paraffin base oils and the finest quality Sulfurized lard oils available.
Incorporated into this combination is a chloro-sulfurized additive package.
APPLICATIONS:
Metatron 551 is not recommended for use in the machining of copper and copper alloys, bronze, brass, aluminum and aluminum alloys and other non-ferrous metals.
Metatron 551contains active sulfur.
This active sulfur can cause corrosion of the metals to occur.
